Today’s Listing – A Symphony of Change
Adding a touch of the goddess to business was the inspiration behind this multi-strand necklace.
With a thought to women in the work-place, I chose to feature the subdued browns, creams and blacks of natural banded agate beads in this design.
A perfect complement to a business suit.
Today’s Listing – Everlasting
I love the contrast of colours in the statement necklace.
With large nuggets of pink coral and apple green jade.

Friday Fab Find – Eve Drage Designs
Today I pounced upon a fellow Kiwi/Aussie.
Eve of Eve Drage Designs on Etsy does the most amazing pieces of wearable (and hangable) art in natural fibres.
Eve says of her work -
“Felt is one of the oldest known textiles with a history dating back to around 6500 BC. It was an essential part of the Nomadic peoples lives from Central Asia. I use New Zealand merino wool which is a 100% natural renewable source. It is known for its light, hard-wearing soft texture. Its breathable and warm. I use the ancient process to create beautiful modern pieces of original art- all are one offs, all individually unique.”
Today’s Listing – Chaos Bangle.2
To create this bangle I randomly wove 15 gauge copper wire – left in its natural state – around a bangle madrel.
Tightly wrapped sterling silver wire shows off the waves and curves of the base.
Created from recycled electricians wire.
Left in its natural state, the accents on this bangle will oxidize with time and wearing.

Today’s Listing – Chaos Bangle.4
This bangle – created in Chaos – was heavily oxidized to give an antique look.
I added a stunning natural copper contrast by wrapping wire to hug the frame.
Created from recycled electricians wire.
Left in its natural state, the accents on this bangle will oxidize with time and wearing.

Today’s Listing – Chaos Bangles.8
A contemporary and fun set of bangles, created from recycled electricians wire.
I hand-formed each bangle by randomly wrapping the wire around a bracelet mandrel.
I had also been reading that you could oxidize copper with natural yoghurt, so I left them to sit for 7 days in a bowl of yoghurt, after which I cleaned them up, tumbled and finished them with polish.
Each funky set of bangles is unique in its own way – no two wraps will be the same.
Have you got your entry yet?
There’s only 11 more days to go before this stunning charm bracelet – created by SATeam on Etsy – is given away…
Will you be the lucky winner??
To enter, simply purchase an item from the participating SATeam shops.

Complete with sterling silver ear wires.
Quote Me… Sonja Henie
Jewelry takes people’s minds off your wrinkles.
~Sonja Henie
The older I get, the more my taste in jewellery is changing.
Once upon a time, I used to go for the flashy, in-your-face designs – you know, the ones that you could see from 100 metres down the street. The bigger and bolder, the better!
Now ( as I approach my ’40’s *gasp* ;P ) my jewellery has become much more understated.
Simplicity is key. Less is more.
I still love the unusual – you just have to look at my Urban Chic and Copper Bangles – to see that. Simple doesn’t have to be boring.
So, what does your jewellery style say about you?
Has your style changed with your age?
Or are you just trying to hide your wrinkles??
